About the Project: 1071 King Street West is an iconic 17-storey flatiron-inspired mixed-use development that serves as a new landmark for Toronto’s Liberty Village. The building’s unique wedge-shaped architecture pays homage to the area’s industrial heritage with a red brick facade and punched windows designed specifically to mitigate heat loss and reduce environmental impact. A model of modern urban densification, the project features 298 purpose-built rental units and integrates a unique geothermal system that provides sustainable heating and cooling for the entire facility, aiming for a significant reduction in its total ecological footprint.
